Your Worst Fear Will Happen
Installation
Dual screen projection, single channel sound
The installation is about the basic fear that is the condition of love - that as long as you love someone, you will suffer from the death of your beloved, and once you your- self is gone, the same grief will be passed on to someone who loves you.
Right after a dear friend was dead of cancer, another friend told me that his childhood-friend had jumped out of a skyscraper in London City, the same day my friend died. This work is created from this exsitential absurdity.

Your worst fear will happen and you will deal with it, because you have to and you will eventually overcome it, it’s a matter of time and that will be the end of it, because that’s what’s called life, and then you will know you’ve become a stronger person or you’ve grown from it and even if you don’t get over it until the end, that will not make much of a difference to you, because you won’t be there anyway, and those who love you or loved you will have to keep that and they will have to deal with it, because they have to and eventually they will get over it, it’s a matter for time, because that’s what’s called life, and then they will know they’ve become stronger or that they’ve grown from it, and even if they don’t get over it until the end, that will not make much of a difference anyway, because they won’t be there, and those who love them or loved them will have to keep that and they will have to deal with it, because they have to, and they too, will eventually overcome it, it’s a matter of time, and that will be the end of it, because that’s what’s called life and then they will know they have become stronger or that they’ve grown from it and even if they don’t get over it until the end, that won’t matter, because they won’t be there anyway, and those who love them or loved them, will have to keep that and they will have to deal with it, because they have to and eventually they will overcome it, it’s just a matter of time and that will be the end of it, because that’s what’s called life and then they know that have become stronger or that they’ve grown from it, and even if they don’t get over it until the end, that will not make much of a difference, because they won’t be there anyway, so when you think of it, it really doesn’t make a difference whatever happens, because either you get over it or you don’t.
