Human Nature plays with the idea of 'the natural'. If you take a walk in Esbjerg Bypark, you will not only hear that the chirping of the birds is supplemented by other animal sound from other of the Danish fauna – animals that normally neither live in city parks nor live in trees. You will also discover that the sounds do not come from animals and birds at all, but from people imitating them. The participants were asked to choose an animal in the Danish fauna, really get to know the animal and imitate or recreate its sounds as expressively as possible.
This way, the performers have not only received one direct (albeit somewhat alternative) voice; man has also put themselves in the place of the animal and given it anew expressiveness that reflects the individual contributors' human feelings, ideas and
moods.
The constructed (un)naturalness of the situation is emphasized by the fact that Kvam among the park's trees has set up his own primitive, home-built trees in manufactured and industrially processed wood.
