In a chaotic world of eternal change and creation - this installation plays with the inherent human need to create meaning in everything we face.
From a surround-sound speaker system, comes the sound of three groaning men in a sports hall, their creaking rubber shoes as they run at a fast pace, gasping for air, while shouting statements such as: I am !, I want !, I am looking for!.
When one of the men shouts Bird on the Wire! - the others answer Oh, no! and everyone stops their activities.
It may seem as if their shouting are a way of confirming their own and each other's existence before they are instantly sucked into an endless drain of oblivion.
The floor of the exhibition space is covered with floor markings from sports-halls in distorted perspectives, rib walls, basketball goals and other gym materials. An embroidered banner with a symbolic bird on a wire, hangs from the ceiling.

An International Italian pizzeria-desk in one corner of the exhibition space, is served by a pizzeria employee who periodically hands out menu cards. In the menu cards, the men's statements are nicely presented as a poem.
The text presented as a poem versus the men's desperate utterances, creates strikingly different interpretive possibilities.
The banner with the symbolic bird on a wire doesn't do much to create coherence in the elements of the exhibition and the audience is left in a confused state.
An international orchestra composed of a samba bateria, a Danish orchestra and drill girls and boys carrying the exhibition's banner, marches through the city streets and into the exhibition on certain days and times during the exhibition period.
This work has no intentions of going beyond the momentum of confusion, but will stay and vibrate, producing new questions that are inherent possibilities, - with the promise of more..
